To tell you a little more about me... I am 39 years old and I've been doing art for as long as I can remember. Anyone can say that really, but I took my first lessons back in the 80's with an instructor named Larry Young. All I can remember is the studio, the depot in the town of Dallas with the authentic train "caboose". It was a magic place inside for a student my age. With a carousel horse in the corner, a manequin, and that great smell of kneeded erasers, charcoal, paper, paint... really unless you're an artist you can't appreciate that smell. He may have burned incense before we came into class, I couldn't tell!

Here I am earlier this year. I've earned my Associate of Fine Arts Degree from Gaston Community College in 1992 and attended Appalacian State University for a year. GO APP! I've exhibited work in Gaston County and received a purchase award from Rauch Industries. Hey, if anybody out there can photograph that painting for me and send it to me, that would be great! It's hanging in one of their offices. An artist grows sentimentally attached to their work and misses it sometimes.

I'm a big Johnny Depp fan as well as Paul McCartney. I know... odd combination but that's me. I'm a christian who loves 60's rock n roll... go figure! I'm also an avid anglophile. I think I spelled that right. Anyway, it just means I love everything British! I'm into geanealogy as well. There's some pirate blood in me... I can just feel it! So anyway, you know I'm crazy. That aught to make for interesting conversation!
